Baby Shower Recipes for you to sample.
There needs to be a lot of food when you have the baby shower. Many of the recipes are time honored and treasured.I like to see the different displays of textures, colors, and creative ways that the food is presented to the guests at a baby shower.
Below are a few recipes to help you with ideas for your food choices:
English Muffin Pizza
English muffins split, Pizza sauce,shredded Mozzerella cheese, Italian seasoning, oregano,parmesan cheese, a few veggie or meat toppings
Spread each side of the english muffin with pizza sauce,top with lots of mozzerella cheese,add veggies and/or chopped meats, Sprinkle with italian seasoning and oregano,Broil in oven for 3-5 min. or until cheese is melted. These can be cut into quarters or halves to stretch further. They’re delicious and go very quickly. Good served warm or cold.
Cheese Balls
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese,1 tsp. worcestershire sauce,1 package cream cheese,4 dashes tabasco sauce,2 tsp. onion,chopped walnuts,2 tsp. catsup or chili sauce
Shred cheddar cheese (room Temperature) Mix all ingredients (except walnuts) with a blender or electric mixer. Line small bowl with plastic wrap. Empty mixture into bowl and refrigerate overnight to mix flavors. Next morning, roll mixture into a ball. Roll cheese ball in the walnuts to evenly coat. Store in refrigerator until time to serve.
Bacon Wrapped Tator Tots
Wrap each Tator Tot with a slice of bacon; secured with a toothpick. Bake in oven until bacon is crispy. Quick, easy, and delicious.
No Bake Chocolate Cookies
2 cups sugar,1 stick butter, 1/2 cup milk,1/4 cup baking cocoa,3 cups oatmeal (original or quick cooking), 1/2 cups peanut butter,1 tsp. vanilla
Place sugar, milk, and butter in a large saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. Add cocoa, stir constantly about 1 minute.Remove from heat and quickly stir in peanut butter, oatmeal, and vanilla. (Have last 3 ingredients all measured out and ready to place in saucepan. These harden quickly.) Drop by spoonfuls onto Waxed Paper. Delicious!!!
Spinach Dip
1/2 cup red onion, 2pkgs. frozen spinach(thawed and drained),1 (8oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 1 (8oz.) pkg. sour cream, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. parmesan cheese, salt and pepper
Coat saute pan with cooking spray. Saute onion over medium heat until cooked through. Add spinach, cook another 1-2 min.Add cream cheese until melted. Remove and add sour cream and parmesan cheese. Cool and refrigerate. Serve room temperature.
