Baby Shower Food: What to Serve and How to Serve The Guests
The baby shower cannot be without good food. First, you have to decide what style of serving you are going to do. A formal sit down dinner, or buffet style- where everyone forms a line and helps themselves to what they want.Then you can plan the menu.

For a formal sit-down dinner: Large pans of lasagna or pasta of your choice, salad-caesar or tossed, dinner rolls,2-3 choices of desserts.
The time of day that the baby shower is held will determine what food should be served. When the shower is held at noon or dinnertime the food should be sit-down style.Early, mid afternoon, or early evening lends itself to finger foods, good appetizers,salads,and desserts.
Have an assortment of snack trays. Veggies with the dip in the middle is an appealing looking presentation. Chips w/ dip in the middle is equally attractive; and shows what care you have put into the preperation.
A thought if your theme is baby blocks: Make a sheet cake,cut into small squares, frost and place cute characters on top reminiscent of blocks. The toppers can be either edible or removable. Make sure you are there to tell guests to remove the top if not edible.Or place a small sign on the edge of the plate to remove top decoration.
Add some special touches to the food such as a watermelon basket with a handle carved out. Add assorted melon balls. This is a cool, refreshing treat.
After all the preparation; think about using disposable plates, cups and, plastic silverware. Plastic wine flutes are also available when serving wine.
